2021 Junie Project
It all begins with kindness…Each year before the holiday season, we open applications for BWLF members that are struggling from a financial hardship and need assistance to provide “the season of giving” to their children. Once the families are selected we count on our members to pitch in by adopting a family or purchasing a gift from the Amazon list we create for the adopted families. This year we will be opening up applications to all families in the continental USA residents.
The Story of The Junie Project
SIT DOWN, MY OHANA, AND LET ME TELL YOU A STORY.
On December, 24, 2016 my niece Kamay Springer went into preterm labor. We were all terrified! You see, she was 16 weeks EARLY which made her only 5 months pregnant. We prayed and prayed. At that time we had about 5k members (yes, we’ve more than tripled since then) and every single one stopped what they were doing and asked the universe for a miracle. WE GOT IT! This December 24 Juniper “Junie” Springer will be 5 years old!!! She is the driving force behind our Junie Project. Every year we celebrate HER BIRTHDAY by gifting children all over the country with a Christmas they would otherwise NOT have had. That is what makes this project so very, very special. We’re returning the miracle that was gifted to us 5 years ago! We’ve given over 150 kids a full Christmas. I’m PROUD of this project and I’m honored for those who help make it a success. If you or someone you know needs holiday assistance please completly fill out the form. We only select 30 kids a year and we CAN NOT guarantee you will be chosen. Also, if you have received assistance from us in the past, you will NOT be qualified again.
